Thank You for visiting the Free Polish Krakusy Society of Youngstown Ohio on the Web! Our organization was founded to celebrate Polish culture in the North-East Ohio region. Today's Society endeavors to preserve and revive the 115+ year old organization founded by a group of Polish Compatriots. Please take the time to read about the History of our organization and familiarize yourself with our accomplishments, leadership and mission.
YSU/KSU ScholarshipThe Free Polish Krakusy Society proudly supports the recently established Christine (Sawicki) Kraynak memorial scholarship. As a child held in a World War II German work camp Christine bravely was able to squeeze out of a barbwire fence at night to gather potatoes from an adjacent field bringing food to her family and other camp prisoners. After the war Christine and her family relocated to the Youngstown Ohio area with support from the Krakusy Society at the time. Please help us support funding this scholarship in memory of Christine. The scholarship will benefit a YSU/KSU student on an annual basis. Please see the below gofundme link for more information.
