Purpose

The Krakusy Society was founded to celebrate Polish culture in the North-East Ohio region.  Today’s Society endeavors to revive the 120+ year old organization founded by a group of Polish-American Youngstown residents.

What we've done

The Krakusy Polish American Society hosts a variety of engaging cultural events throughout the year aimed at celebrating Polish heritage and fostering community spirit. Among these events are the annual Summer Event, a vibrant occasion filled with traditional music, dance, and cuisine that showcases the richness of Polish culture. Another highlight is the commemoration of Polish Constitution Day, a significant national holiday celebrated with patriotic pride and cultural displays.

In addition to cultural festivities, the Society organizes a golf outing, providing members and participants with a fun and relaxed opportunity to connect and enjoy the outdoors. During the holiday season, the Society gathers for Kolędy (Christmas carols), spreading seasonal joy through musical performances that reflect Poland's festive traditions.

Beyond cultural enrichment, the Krakusy Polish American Society is committed to giving back to the community. The organization supports various charitable initiatives, including Project MKC and scholarship funds, demonstrating a dedication to helping others and making a positive impact beyond their cultural events. These efforts not only strengthen the bonds within the Polish American community but also contribute to the broader welfare of society. Through these activities, the Society strives to promote Polish heritage, foster community growth, and extend a helping hand to those in need.
